Description

Imagine if, in just a couple of taps and a few seconds, the money you’d earned this month could be in your bank account.

No more waiting for a far-off payday, no more scraping together spare change, unnecessary overdraft fees, or worrying about an unpaid bill or an unplanned expense - just simple, easy financial freedom.

That’s exactly what Wagestream gives you.

We partner with your employer to give you the power to stream your earned wages into your account, whenever you need them. Our secure, safe technology links to your company’s timekeeping system. If you need it, you can log in, request a transfer, and we’ll stream the amount to your bank account instantly, for a small fee.

At the end of the month, you’ll be paid as usual - with any streams you’ve taken from us subtracted from the final amount.

Please note, this benefit only works if your employer is a Wagestream partner. You log into our secure app using the details provided to you by your employer.

Wagestream works

I have had Wagestream for a few months and it certainly works. I initially felt that it was a bit disconcerting to think my NHS pay would initially be sent to a third party ( namely Wagestream ) and then on to me, but it has been OK. Reading into the ‘Build’ savings pot facility , I believe this would not have the same protections afforded to a normal savings account in your own name because this is not the same as that, so personally I wouldn’t ever do that.
On ‘streaming ‘ ( streaming cash ) - I think streaming small amounts of your pay before payday might save some people from having to pay unacceptably large bank fees for unarranged overdrafts. Martin Lewis mentioned this service and he didn’t say it was a bad thing. It doesn’t affect your credit rating, for example, but getting used to having pay before payday could be the start of a trend that is limited. When you do get that payday pay packet, it will be a lot smaller if your borrow from it beforehand! Still, could be used safely. Overall, it’s a flexibility I like to know is there.

Finally my go to place for emergency cash

I was sceptical at first but I have to say it has been handy a few times I have used it. No more stress of worrying when I get an unexpected expense. You stream part of the wages you’ve worked for that day, week etc and within seconds you have it in your bank account.

In the beginning there might have been a glitch where it kept showing my wages to be streamed then down to zero but after that it has been working perfectly.

“May I just state that this app is beneficial when you have an unexpected expense rather than using it on luxury needs otherwise you might be disappointed to receive less pay on your pay day”

Good when it works

I have been waiting and waiting for my wagestream to be fixed and keep being told it’s a high priority. Yet they keep telling me I’m furloughed despite me telling them I’m not over and over. We are told this service is to be relied on but it isn’t reliable at all and if I had known it would work at all this month I would have made sure to save more money than usual. You have to hound the support centre for a response and they tell you they are dealing with it and it will be sorted on this day or this day but still no change and my wagestream is till on 0!!! I get paid next Friday and have to pay my internet tomorrow there is no point telling people you can rely on this service for unexpected bills when you can’t even fix it in time for people to pay them. I don’t think I will be using this service anymore due to this it has really put me off especially to stop working in the month of December!!! Stressed does not cut it!

Developer Response ,

Hi there!
We're super sorry to hear that you've been in having these kinds of difficulties here!
When multiple tickets are opened by a single user, that user may not always get the same representative as all tickets are sent to a queue that is answered in the order they are received by the first pair of hands available. Due to this, we apologise that you may have had redundant questions asked of you, but we assure you our representatives are trying their best just to get as much information as possible to be able to help you quickly and efficiently! Especially in times like now, where we're working closely with our employer partners to try to find solutions so we can get you in working order once again! We hope this helps give light to our process here, but if you have any other questions you'd like to ask or concerns you'd like to raise, we'd love to hear from you at support@wagestream.co.uk!
Take care and be well,
The Wagestream Team 💜
